“We would like to speak to you about working on the self. Each person has his own scale of worth, his own Jacob’s ladder that he climbs rung after rung, however there are paths in common which are also unavoidable; it is these unavoidable paths that we would like to teach you about. Perhaps we do this at times in an awkward way, seeing the difficulty our channel has at finding words for certain concepts, but overall we always succeed in one way or another in getting our message across.

Of course, the ideal would be to unite the consciousness of your physical body and the consciousness of the Divine being within you but there are many pitfalls along the way; your mind can also succeed in fooling you, even when you call upon the presence of the Light and Love; it can throw you off track by simply instilling doubt within you and by telling you ‘you can say what you want but it will not matter’.

We are speaking about working on yourself because we would like you to know yourself well, because it is only when you know yourself that you can really advance.

To know yourself, you must listen to yourself thinking, speaking and reacting to every circumstance, to every external event and this is very difficult because thoughts flash, words are thoughtless, feelings are possessive, and emotions fragile. That is true mastery or self-control.

Self-control, of course, cannot be conceived without constant awareness. Self-control also includes control of the physical body, control of the consciousness of this physical body. Always remember the considerable importance of this machine of total perfection that is your physical body. Your Body of Light, your Divine Being, your Presence, no matter what you call him, has great power for transformation but your physical body has great power for achievement. It is what allows you to experiment.

Your Being of Light does not allow you to experiment life in this world; he helps you, he assists you, but he does not intervene in the experience. If you call upon his help, he will give it to you insofar as this does not prevent the experience or experimentation from being accomplished, because it is only through experience that you can understand, evolve, and grow.

Once a large number of experiences have been lived by the human consciousness, by the personality, by the soul, there will be an intervention of the Divine Self, of the Being of Light, or the Presence that is within you. As long as certain experiences have not been lived by your human being, by your human consciousness, your Being of Light will be watching and waiting.

If you speak about the Being of Light to someone who is not at all awakened, he will not even know what you are trying to tell him. You understand now what it means but ten years ago you did not have the same comprehension.

We would like you to understand that evolution takes place in steps. You can never make someone understand something he is not ready to conceive. Of course, he will have his references, he will advance according to his own scale of values but if he does not have the consciousness to recognize the truth with a capital T, that which you have perceived or that you are beginning to see, this truth will pass him by without affecting him, without him being aware of it, just like some truths pass you by without you being able to discern them.

You are beginning this great work of awakening but you are not completely awakened. Once you are awakened you will no longer ask yourself any questions, you will know, nothing and no one will be able to hold you back, you will know with accuracy all that you still do not know or that you only sense. You will have a vision of life that is completely different from the one you have right now. Remember that you have a totally limited vision of life, even of your experiences.

We have often said, but you have not really become aware of it, that life in matter is the worst of illusions. However, when you live experiences in matter, often very difficult, you are not under the impression of living an illusion, you are sometimes under the impression of living a nightmare. When we tell you that life in matter is an illusion it is because you do not yet have the consciousness of what life really is with a capital L, life in its immense splendor, Life as you will live it once you have been stripped of the yoke of your heavy experiences.

Little by little, with words from our channel that are sometimes awkward, we nevertheless succeed in bringing you towards another consciousness of your existence and of life. We speak of life in its entirety, of Life in the Universe, of Life from the Source.

The more you observe your thoughts and your words, the more you will become aware of your emotions, and of your feelings, the sooner you will have a real notion of true life. Of course, your consciousness opens more every day, but within this consciousness there are still large hindrances, large self-questionings, immense doubts. Even the most advanced being still has doubts, doubts are a part of the incarnation of a physical body, doubts are constantly emitted by the human personality, by the human ego because that is its function.

The ego spurs you relentlessly to seek, to transcend, to advance. This takes place at the level of the unconscious, and is therefore a precious tool. Even if it overflows into your life, the more you discover its reality, the more you will understand its usefulness.

We are speaking to you about the ego today in a different way because it is the timing to do so; it is in fact a key to evolution. Once you have understood what your ego creates and what the Divine Being within you creates, you can pull the consciousness of the personality and the consciousness of the ego more and more towards unity. At that time, the ego’s role will cease, it will no longer need to act as a spur, it will itself tend towards unity, and its role will come to an end little by little; of its own freewill and with Love it will dissolve into unity.

What we are telling you is important, it gives a different coloring to what you think about the ego and your personality, as all is useful in terms of the evolving plan. If it were not thus, you would not be, in this incarnation, burdened with this heavy program with an ego and a frustrating personality, hindering you in the awakening of your consciousness. Hindrances are sometimes extremely useful to advancement; they spur and force you to constantly go beyond obstacles, but in order to overcome them, you must be conscious of them.

You have become aware of the important obstacle that is your ego (your personality) with all that this entails; now you are going to overcome it and once that is done, you will realize to what extent this obstacle was precious to your advancement.

You, people of the West, function with this intellect, this ego that is very powerful. Certain peoples, who have not cut themselves off from their Source nor from their terrestrial Mother, any more than from the beings of the invisible worlds or from Father Sun, do not have this ego because they do not need it and because they function completely differently in their consciousness and in their experimentation. We are not going to say that one is better than the other. If you have chosen to incarnate into a western civilization, it is because you have a need to learn from it and to live its laws, its constraints, and also its joys. If you did not have that to learn or to live, you would have been incarnated in the deepest jungle into a group of people who live close to, and are very close to nature and who are living something completely different.

Each experience, no matter what level it is, from the bottom of the scale to the top of the scale, is an extraordinary experience that the soul longs to live…”

They are telling me:

“You must understand that all the experiences on Earth, from the smallest event to the most terrible things, make up a part of the great evolving plan. There is your personal evolving plan and there is a general evolving plan.

However, as soon as you become aware of it, you must work as often as possible on the knowledge of this transformation. You must send out these energies that are so powerful within you, i.e. to awaken that powerful Being more each day, that Being of Light that dwells in you, and let he do his work. You must awaken him and allow him to express himself; he has the power of all the powers. He can accomplish every day, miracle upon miracle, and at a certain stage of your evolution, he lets things happen for your greatest happiness or what you could call in some circumstances, you greatest misfortune.

What is happiness? What is misfortune? It is simply the view of the intellect, a view from the human consciousness.

Whenever an unkind thought is emitted towards another person, the first thing to do is to immediately send much Light and Love to that thought, reformulate it in your mind and watch it dissolve. The energies of Light and Love are going to completely annihilate and destroy the energy of your thought.

Thought propels itself at great speed. If you have had an unkind thought about someone, after having done the work on the thought, you must do a work of Love on the person, speak to his inner self and ask him to help you annihilate any eventual effects of your thought. Send him all the Divine Love within you.

You, therefore, destroy the thought that was emitted by you and you also destroy its effect by sending all the Divine Love upon the person concerned and by asking for assistance from his own Divine presence.

Whenever you emit thoughts of fear or negative thoughts in general, do the same, always send Light. The more you send Light onto your thoughts, the more you will see this Light manifesting itself, materializing itself, you will see something like a beam coming out of yourself.

Everything can be transformed through Light and Christic Love or through Light and Universal Love.

Remember that thoughts of Love and Light, of Universal Love or Christic Love have considerable power over you and those who surround you. It is the greatest power that is at your disposal and you do not use it as you should. This power is given to you by the Being of Light that you are; however he has to be present in your physical being, in your being of matter, in your human consciousness.

To listen to yourself thinking, to observe yourself living, to be vigilant concerning your emotions and feelings, is very important because that will prevent you from emitting thoughts that are more or less somber, more or less unfriendly or destabilizing. It is part of an important work, of continuous self-control, of mastery.

Besides, instead of talking about working on oneself, the word mastery or self-control would be much more appropriate. The word work is painful in the concept that you have of work, the word mastery is very valuable because mastery is approaching the master and each one of you has the desire to attain or approach the master in you, not an outer master, but your own inner master.”
