I wonder if the fact of not being able to visualize may harm the effectiveness of meditation. What can one do to manage to visualize? Could you give us some advice about this?
“It is an important question and we will simply say the following: above all don’t worry about not visualizing.
There are lots of beings who cannot visualize during their meditations.
When you are in meditation, and you wish to project Light and Love on the world, on those you love (we assume this is part of your concerns), simply think about it.
Think about a golden Light that escapes from you, that originates from the deepest of your heart. Thought is a great strength and each one of you can think during his or her meditations. Of course, those who have the ability to visualize reinforce their thoughts, but don’t worry about it, think right, think strength, think Light, think Love and the results will be very important.
This is a matter of concern for many human beings. It should not be the case. Thought is something which bursts forth from you at high speed. You do not need to think over and over again, and to say to yourself: ‘that is so hard to do!’
Think
‘something light’. A thought of Love will go wherever you send it. It
only takes
a second, one-third of a second, and such time is enough for this to
happen. (However, you may also think for
another second and even for several
more seconds if you wish, it is not forbidden.)
It is
imperative that you do not try desperately to want to visualize. When
you persist
in wanting something, you are not in a good energy, you are in the
mind, and
real meditation is that of the heart.
Everything is sent from the
heart level, and
not from the mind level. Try simply to feel your heart sending out
something
light and wonderful, to feel this energy of Love, of caring or whatever
else
you give to those you wish to help. Do this from the ‘brain of the
heart’ in a
lightweight manner. It is so easy to do!”
